What a week… t’was a Vintage one for sure!
Lots of goings on in the lead up to the fourth Spring Dublin Vintage & Decor Fair which takes place Sunday coming. And just when I thought the week couldn’t get any better it culminated in hearing that my wonderful friend, our very own Marilyn Monroe, gave birth to a wonderful baby boy this morning… much to the excitement of the lucky little fella’s two big sisters who I know are going to excel in their new roles. We usually have the pleasure of all three of the girls company at the Vintage Fairs but I’ve a feeling this Sunday may be less about Vintage dresses and more about Vintage memories as they all hang out with the now two men in their lives and enjoy life as a five-piece. Massive love to all of them… x
During the countdown to that fabulous happening we’ve had lots of happenings of a Vintage nature for which I’ve been working with the dream-team of Joyce Clarke Henry and Amanda Hynes Johnson in styling a number of retro shoots for both TV and print to publish the fair.
Below are just a few of the looks from the Cafe En Seine shoot which featured in the Irish Independent:

We were up with the birds last Tuesday morning to make our way to Ballymount for our Ireland AM feature in TV3. We completed a Mad Men inspired (our favorite word of the week!) makeover with our gorgeous models Vanessa & Derek … the loveliest couple you could be lucky enough to work with. How gorgeous do they look in their Joan and Don-esque outfits?
Prior to that we also produced a 2-part Vintage Wedding Special for TV3’s Xpose which can be viewed here and here! Looks from After Sybil, Fussy Galore and Vintage Trig – all stores will be at the Fair on Sunday.
Besides the Vintage Fair Makeover that Joyce, Amanda and I will be completing on Sunday there will be lots of opportunities for hair and makeup sessions as each of the girls have stands at the Fair and will be available throughout the day.
Also, very importantly (although I forgot to say it on Tuesday morning – I blame the live TV!), there are fabulous prizes of all kinds to be awarded to those people that make a special effort to come along in their Vintage finery. It’s always one of my favorite parts of the Fair and it really does make the atmosphere extra special so use it as an excuse to don your favorite pieces.
